Patna celebrated Ram Navami, Lord Ram's birth day, with traditional gaiety and fervour. Thousands visited Mahavir Temple near Patna Junction railway station to offer prayers to Maryada Purushottam Ram and Mahvir Hanuman on March 24, 2010. Other temples of the city too witnessed huge gathering of devotees since wee hours in the morning. In the evening huge processions were taken out from different localities of the State Capital to celebrate the day.
