BJP Kisan Morcha to oppose Pesticides Management Bill

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha has decided to oppose Pesticides Management Bill in the present format in the Parliament, said BJP Kisan Morcha national secretary Anil Sharma while talking to reporters in Patna on March 16, 2011.

    It is highly appreciated that Pesticide Management Bill, 2008, before Rajyasabha, is being opposed by BJP. It should be also opposed by JDU and Bihar Government should take stand immediately upon it.
    Pesticide industry is an unregulated industry, which has been growing on the demand created by anxieties of the poor and marginal farmers, hollow scientific research and unscientific behaviour of scientists related to agriculture.
