Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary Inaugurates ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ Campaign on PM Modi’s Birthday

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on September 17, 2026 inaugurated the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan by lighting a ceremonial lamp at JP Ganga Path (Marine Drive) in Patna to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Following the inauguration, the Chief Minister participated in the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme organised at the Patliputra Sports Complex and Patna Airport. Cultural programmes were organised on the occasion, with artists presenting a variety of performances. A Ganga Aarti was also performed by the artists.

At the programme held at the Patliputra Sports Complex, Chief Minister Choudhary honoured Padma Shri Dr R.N. Singh, Padma Shri Dr Shanti Rai, Padma Shri Dr Vijay Prakash and Padma Shri Dr J.K. Singh by presenting them with angavastrams and green plants.

The Chief Minister also lit the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ at the Lok Seva Awas and prayed for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s good health, happiness and long life.

He said the Prime Minister’s public life and his journey dedicated to nation-building and public service were a source of inspiration for everyone.

Choudhary said the objective of the initiative was to take the spirit of service, dedication and public welfare to every section of society on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday. He also stressed the need to strengthen sensitivity and a spirit of support towards disadvantaged and needy people.

Patel Group of Industries Donates ₹71 Lakh to Bihar Chief Minister’s Relief Fund

Patna: The Patel Group of Industries has contributed ₹71 lakh to the Bihar Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support people affected by disasters and difficult circumstances on September 17, 2026. 

Representatives of the Patel Group of Industries met Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary at ‘Sankalp’ Sabhagar, located at the Lok Sevak Awas, on Thursday and presented him with a cheque for ₹71 lakh.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the company for its contribution. He said the assistance would help provide support to people in need during disasters and other challenging situations in the state.

CM Samrat Choudhary Extends Vishwakarma Puja Greetings to Workers Across Bihar

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary extended warm greetings and best wishes to all workers across the state and the country on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja on September 17, 2026.

In his message, the Chief Minister said the day is dedicated to worshipping Lord Vishwakarma, regarded as the creator and divine architect. He highlighted the invaluable contribution of workers to the state’s progress and said Bihar is touching new milestones of development across various sectors.

Choudhary expressed hope that workers and labour organisations would extend their full cooperation towards strengthening the state’s industrial development and productivity. He said he was confident that with the support of workers, Bihar would continue to move forward on the path of sustained progress.
