Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary Releases ₹1,233.87 Crore Pension Aid to 10.56 Lakh Beneficiaries

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on September 10, 2026 transferred ₹1,233.87 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank accounts of 10.568 lakh beneficiaries under the state’s social security pension scheme for August 2026 in Munger. Each beneficiary received a monthly pension of ₹1,100. A total of 98,896 new beneficiaries were also brought under the scheme.

The Chief Minister joined the program organized at Gangta Mor in Haveli Kharagpur, Munger, through video conferencing. During the event, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone remotely for the widening and strengthening of National Highway-333 from kilometer 28.340 (Gangta) to kilometer 38.340 (Kohbarwa Mor).
