Bihar Government to take action against 'proxy Mukhiyas'

Bihar Panchayati Raj Minister Bhim Singh said the state government would take action against "proxy Mukhiyas" by filing cases against them. Talking to reporters in Patna on November 3, 2011, Bhim Singh expressed concern over the proxy rule in gram panchayats where husbands of woman Mukhiyas hold official meeting.
