Mauritius President Rajkeshwur Purryag along with his wife Aneetah Purryag and Bihar Chief Minister Mitish Kumar visited the native village of his forefathers Wajidpur, about 22km south of Patna on January 6, 2013. Completely overwhelmed by the welcome accorded to him by Wajidpur residents, Mauritius President Purryag failed to control his emotion as tears rolled down from his eyes. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar felicitated the Mauritius President by presenting a memento. Bihar Food and Consumer Protection Minister Shyam Rajak was also present on the occasion.
