Patna: Bihar Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain and Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary paid floral tributes to Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan on his death anniversary on Thursday (October 8, 2026).
The Governor and Chief Minister offered flowers at the statue of Jayaprakash Narayan, located at the south-west corner of Gandhi Maidan, and paid their respects to the veteran freedom fighter and political leader.
Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, Cooperation Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, Building Construction Minister Leshi Singh, SC and ST Welfare Minister Lakhendra Kumar Roshan, BJP state president and MLA Sanjay Saraogi, MLAs Shyam Rajak and Arun Manjhi, and Bihar State Farmers’ Commission chairman Roop Narayan Mehta were among those present.
Several social and political workers and other dignitaries also paid floral tributes at the statue of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan and remembered his contribution to the country.
On the occasion, artistes from the Information and Public Relations Department performed aarti and sang the national song, national anthem, Bihar song and patriotic songs.
