Patna: The Bihar government and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) have signed an MoU for long-term financing of ₹21,000 crore to strengthen road and bridge infrastructure across the state on August 7, 2026.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary by Road Construction Department Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pal and NABARD Chairman Shaji K.V.
Choudhary said the funding would particularly support road and bridge construction in rural areas, improve connectivity and boost economic activity. Shaji K.V. assured continued NABARD support for Bihar’s development.
The Chief Minister also released the NABARD in Bihar booklet and presented GI certificates to traditional artisans from Bhojpur, Gaya and Nalanda.
