Several injured as police clash with ABVP activists in Patna

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists and police fought pitched-battle at R-Block round about in Patna on March 29, 2010. Several people were injured in the incident when police resorted to lathicharge to quell the unruly ABVP activists, who broke the police cordon and marched forward to enter Assembly premises. ABVP activists were protesting the opening of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) branch at Kishanganj instead of Kathiar.
