Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Bihar Industries Association threatened to close down all units if the Bihar government failed to withdraw the fuel surcharge within a week. Addressing a press conference in Patna on September 5, 2010, office-bearers of the two associations said the imposition of fuel surcharge at the rate of 69 paise per unit in electric bill was not justified.
