Parmeshwari Devi cremated at Digha Ghat

Parmeshwari Devi, mother of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was cremated at Digha Ghat on the bank of the River Ganga amid chanting of Vedic hymns in Patna on January 2, 2011. Chief Minister’s elder brother Satish Kumar lit the funeral pyre. Bereaved family members including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar were present at the pyre. Cutting across the party lines leaders of different political party were present on the occasion.
