A state-level seminar on " Bitiya Bachao Abhiyan" (Save the girl child campaign) organised by Navjeevan Kalyan Samiti, held in Patna on January 23, 2011. Bihar Health Minister Ashwini Choubey inaugurated the seminar. Speaking on the occasion, Choubey said the state government is contemplating a scheme to provide meals to lactating mothers at health centres.He said the state government would launch "Janani Express" (mobile vans) to bring expecting mothers to health centres to so as ensure institutional delivery.
