Auto-rickshaw drivers blocked the Ashok Rajpath and other adjoining roads at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on December 15, 2011 in protest against police atrocities. The blocked threw the normal traffic flow out of the gear and no auto-rickshaw was seen plying between Gandhi Maidan-Patna Ciyt, Gandhi Maidan-Bailey Road, Gandhi Maidan-Patna Junction and Gandhi Maidan Kurji routes for several hours. Police officers intervened in the matter and assured the agitating drivers of necessary action.
