Lok Sabha polls in Bihar to be held in six phases

While addressing a Press conference in Patna on March 5, 2014, Bihar Chief Electoral Officer Ajay V Nayak said the Lok Sabha elections 2014 would be staggered over six phases in Bihar. The first phase of the election will be held on April 10. The remaining five days for polls are April 17, April 24, April 30 May 7 and May 12. Counting of the votes will take place on May 16. In nation-wide the Lok Sabha polls will be held from April 7 to May 12 in nine phases. The dates are April 7, 9, 10, 12, 17, 24, 30, May 7 and May 12. Over 6.21 crore voters in Bihar will exercise their franchise at 59, 807 polling stations.
