154 relief camps set up in nine Bihar districts in wake of Kosi flood threat


Bihar Government's Disaster Management Department principal secretary Vyasji said the state government had taken the measures to evacuate people from Kosi flood plains and strengthen the embankments in the wake of flood threat following big landslide in the Nepal side of the river Kosi course. Talking to newsmen in Patna on August 4, 2014, Vyasji said 154 relief camps had been set up in the nine districts namely Supail, Saharsa, Madhepura, Khagaria, Araria, Madhubani, Bhagalpur, Purnia and Darbhanga. He said Army and Navy help had arrived in the Kosi belt.
