Brick Kiln Workers in Patna Laboring Hard Ahead of World Labour Day

Brick kiln workers were toiling hard on the eve of World Labour Day in Patna on April 30, 2024.

World Labour Day, also known as International Workers' Day or May Day, is celebrated on May 1st each year. It commemorates the historic struggles and achievements of the labor movement, advocating for fair wages, better working conditions, and the rights of workers worldwide. The origins of Labour Day can be traced back to the late 19th century when labor unions fought for an eight-hour workday. Today, it serves as a reminder of the ongoing need to protect and advance the rights of workers, promote social justice, and strive for equality in the workplace. It's a day to honor the contributions of workers to society and to renew our commitment to creating a more just and equitable world for all.
