Seminars, human chain mark World Human Rights Day in Patna




Several functions were organized in Patna on December 10 to celebrate the World Human Rights Day. Bihar Human Right Commission also organsied a function to celebrate the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Bihar Legislative Council Chairman Tara Kant Jha said time has come to amend the Human Rights Act so as the judgments given by the State Human Rights Commission could be implemented.
“Till now, the commission has the authority to give verdicts and implementation of the verdicts depend on government machinery”, he added.
Bihar Human Rights Commission chairman Justice SN Jha also spoke on the occasion.
Bihar Legislative Council Chairman Tara Kant Jha also released a booklet on Human Rights in Bihar.
School students formed human chain with placards in their hands raising their voice of support for human rights.
At Patna Science College, Human Rights Promotion and Research Organisation organised a seminar focussing on the issue of child labour.
