Attractive and colourful tableaux spreading the message of respective Bihar Government departments were brought out at Gandhi Maidan to mark the Independence Day celebrations in Patna on August 15, 2011. Paramilitary forces, Bihar Police jawans and NCC cadets participated in march past to give an edge to the function. As many as 11 Bihar Government departments took out their floats. Bihar Education Project was adjudged the best float. Information and Public Relation Department's tableau got the second prize while the float taken out by Administrative Reforms Mission Society bagged the third prize.Photo: Aftab Alam Siddiqui
