Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar embarks on 'Sewa Yatra'

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar embarked on his 'Sewa Yatra' from the state hanger of the Patna airport in Patna on November 9, 2011. A large number of JD(U) workers, Bihar Ministers and Government officials were present at the airport to accord the Chief Minister a warm send off. The aim of the tour is to review the implementation of development schemes and the Right to Service Act in all districts of the state.

Talking to reporters before taking off for West Champaran district, Kumar said he would visit Muzaffarpur, Sheikhpura, Arwal, Saharsa, Banka, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Purnia and Siwan districts under the first phase of the ‘Yatra’.

This is the first ‘Yatra’ of Nitish Kumar in his second stint as Chief Minister.
