Shaheed Mangal Pandey remembered
Former Bihar Chief Minister Dr Jagannath Mishra and several other social activists paid floral tributes to Shaheed Mangal Pandey on the latter's death anniversary in Patna on April 8, 2012. The function also marked the 155th year of the first war of Indian Independence, popularly known as Indian mutiny of 1857. Mangal Pandey was the first freedom fighter and martyr of 1857.
