PATNA:
Norway’s Ambassador to India, Nils Ragnar Kamsvag said his country was
interested in investing in Bihar different sectors related to health,
education, science and technology and agro processing.
Kamsvag
expressed his country’s willingness on the future investment in the state in a
meeting with the state chief minister Nitish Kumar at the latter’s official
residence here on Wednesday.
The
Norwegian Ambassador was here to inform the chief minister about the progress
made under Norway India Partnership initiative (NIPI). He deliberated on the
scope of future collaboration in different sectors with Bihar government.
An official
statement said that the Ambassador told the CM that his country was interested in
collaboration in health, education, science and technology and other important
sectors. The envoy also mentioned the old ties with India and said, “Two
countries have economic ties from the beginning and it needs to be further
strengthened”.
Chief
minister Nitish Kumar also felicitated Kamsvag by presenting a memento and
“Angvstram”. Principal secretary to CM Chanchal Kumar and secretary in CM
office, Manish Kumar Verma were present on the occasion.
Later in the
day the Norwegian envoy met Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ashok
Choudhary.
