Communist Party of India (CPI) general secretary A B Bardhan said that Left parties would contest from 150 out of 243 Assembly seats in Bihar during the elections due in October-
November this year.
Bardhan was talking to in Patna on June 6, 2010.
CPI had identified 50 seats which it could "win on its own strength" he said and added that the party, in alliance with other Left parties including CPI(M), CPI-ML (Liberation), RSP and Forward Bloc, would contest 150 assembly seats in a bid to stall the NDA from forming the next government in Bihar.
