Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar felicitated 406 policemen and 41 citizens from different parts of the state for their exemplary courage in checking crime in last one year at a function in Gandhi Maidan in Patna on January 15, 2011. The function was organised to commemorate the golden jubilee year of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Speaking on the occasion Bihar Chief Minister said 15,000 police personnel would be appointed every year in an effort to attain national average of police-public ratio in the state.
