Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Sahajanand Saraswati in Patna on March 2, 2011. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi was present on the occasion. Nitish Kumar also paid floral tributes to Swami Sahajanand Saraswati.
Speaking on the occasion Nitish Kumar criticised the Central Government for allocating a meager sum of Rs 400 crore in the Union Budget to boost agriculture production in the North-East and Eastern States. He also lambasted the Centre for allegedly blocking huge investment proposals worth over Rs one lakh crore in thermal power and ethanol sectors in Bihar.
