Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated Patna National Book Fair in Gandhi Maidan on March 21, 2011. The fair has been organised by National Book Trust. The fair will continue till March 29. Bihar HRD Minister PK Shahi was present on the occasion.

I was very disappointed by the arrangements and organizers of the National Book Fair ,Patna (March 2011). I was looking for the books written by Literary figures of Bihar like Benipuri ji, Acharya Ramlochan Saran etc but c BihRould not find them in Rajbhasha Parishad’s stall promted by Govt. of Bihar.
ReplyDeleteWhen I went to the Reception/Enquiry counter the lady over there were unaware of the name of , Acharya Ramlochan Saran who was not only a well known literary figure/grammarian but also is considered as the pioneer of Publishing and Printing in Bihar.She was even unable to give me the details of where I can get those books .She even did tell me whether Acharya jee’s Pustak Bhandar of Laheriasarai and Patna still exists or not. She told me that she has never heard the name of Acharya
Lochan Saran.When I told her that Bihar Govt celebrates Acharya Ji’s birthday every year on February 11th she told me that I have some misconception.
Later the manager of a Delhi based Publishing House’s Patna branch gatve me the details.
