Leaseholders threaten to move court against Bihar Khas Mahal Policy

Khas Mahal Sangharsh Samiti strongly criticised the recently notified Bihar Khas Mahal Policy 2011 terming it a "black act" at a press conference in Patna on April 17, 2011. The leaseholders of Khas Mahal threatened to move court against the policy.

    The Circle Officer, Islampur of Nalanda District, submitted a report in the month of March,2011 relating to a land settlement matter that "land cannot be settlement with anybody because, there may be a "bawal" (Voilence) in case of allotment. If such is the attitude of Circle Officers in Nalanda district, who will the Bihar Government implement the Khas Mahal Act,2011 in Bihar, only GOD and next Nitish knows.
