I stay in Gosai Tola. Yesterday night, few people were dancing on Bhojpuri songs played on Loudspeakers in front of my home. I waited till 00:45 when my patience gave-up and I opened the window to see if the situation was manageable. As they all appeared to be drunk, I thought not to intervene directly. Instead I surfed the internet for phone no. and called-up PS Patliputra (0612-2262234). The person who took the complaint told me that the mobile-unit was being informed to look into the issue. At 01:00, I was delighted to see a Police Vehicle coming. There was some brief talk between the police staff and the errant youth, after which the noise lessened for a while. But in just 15 min., the decibels rose back to previous levels.
ReplyDeleteThough I sincerely appreciate the support extended by PS Patliputra, I feel sorry to say that they were certainly not effective. Moreover, I urge that the 10 pm deadline for usage of loudspeakers should be strictly enforced.
