Bihar School Examination Board's chairman Anand Kishor

Patna, April 12, 2017: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Wednesday cancelled the affiliation of 50 schools/colleges for not fulfilling the affiliation criteria.

With this, the BSEB has so far cancelled the affiliation of 174 schools/colleges for lack of infrastructure and other essential papers to run sound academic activities.

The BSEB had 212 schools/colleges under suspension after the intermediate topper scam surfaced May/June last year.

BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said that affiliations of 26 schools had been annulled while FRI had been lodged against five schools.

He said the BSEB had given time to 4 schools to rectify the anomalies while 2 schools had been suspended.

He said the BSEB had moved forward on reform mode and no schools would be permitted to run its business without fulfilling the required criteria.
