BSEB gives 10 years age relaxation to trained candidates for TET

Patna, April 15, 2017: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has revised the age eligibility criteria for Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for primary teachers.

BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said the decision had been taken as per the guidelines given by the education department to give a chance to maximum possible candidates in the examination.

Now, trained candidates as well as physically challenged persons will get 10 years age relaxation in upper age limit.

The minimum age for application will remain 18 years for basic grade candidates while the minimum age for under graduate grade will be 21 years. The upper age limit will remain the same as fixed by the government.

The candidates appearing in the final year examination of the two-year BEd course, four-year BSc BEd  or equivalent course or two years Basic Training course after Intermediate can now apply for the written test that will be held on June 11 next.
The BSEB will publish a revised version of the TET notice soon.

The online registration for TET has begun on April 8 and the last date of submitting e-challan is April 27.
