New Delhi, March 27, 2010: It was a rocking and memorable evening at Pragati Maidan in Bihar Utsav 2010, where Delhi rocked on performances of Bihar Kokila Padmashri Sharda Sinha on the evening of March 26, 2010 at Hansdhwani Theater.
Programme was started by lighting the lamp by Rameshwer Singh, IDC, Department of Industry, Govt. of Bihar and Anshuli Arya, MD, BIADA, Govt of Bihar. Vivek Kumar Singh, Secretary, Department of Youth Art and Culture, Govt. of Bihar was also present on this occasion.
Sharda Sinha’s melodious voice and igniting performance, was an instant hit with crowd. Sharda Sinha started the programe with her famous patriotic song Maiya Bharti Pukarela Jawan Babua Tora Hathawa Meai Deshwa Ke Shaan Babuwa….. Audience enjoyed her songs like Paniya ke Jahaj Se Paltaniya Bani Ahiya Piya lene ahiya ho Sinduri Bengal Ke… , Kahe to Se Sajani …….Hamaar Jogiya….., Sutal Chaliya Baba Ke Bhawanwa…., Barh Re Jatan Se….., Sun ho pardesiya…, Sasuji Se Lutri…, Apna Sajaniya Ke…., Babul Jo Tumne Sikhaya…., Dulhee Dhire Dhire Chalio……, Khapraila Par Bolela….. and many more. Audience enjoyed on every performs of Sharda Sinha. Undoubtedly, this two hour long Cultural event on Bihar Utsav will remember for a long time to audience of Delhi.
Famous dancer Neelam Chaudhary also enthralled the audience by her dance drama – Ganga. This dance drama was based on the message to keep Ganga clean and pollution free.
“We are proud that I am a Bihari and you all fell proud on your Bihari Culture”, said Sharda Sinha in her speech. She said Bihar Utsav was one of the best medium to spread Bihar history, culture and development in India and all over world.
