Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi inaugurated the Eastern Region Agriculture Fair, organised by Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) in Patna on March 7, 2011. Addressing the function, Modi said the State Government had decided to slash interest rates by 1 per cent on crop loans from banks. Now, the farmers of Bihar will play 3 per cent interest against the present rate of 4 per cent as fixed by the Centre for all states.Photo: Aftab Alam Siddiqui
