Patna, July 6, 2022: Now by dialing a number, ambulance, police and fire service will be at your service. There is no longer any need to dial separate numbers for all three services. Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar launched the Dial 112—the emergency response support system --on Wednesday. The system will to help citizens in the vent of emergency. Citizens will immediately get help by dialing 112.
A 24-hour control room has been set up at Rajvanshi Nagar
for emergency response support system. Now police vehicles with dial 112 written
on it will travel across the city and will remain ready to serve in case of
emergency call. Even the system will work on pressing the on-off switch of any
locked smart phone 3 times, number 112 will be dialed. Apart from this, number 112
can also be dialed for help from normal base phone to mobile with key pad. On
dialing this number, the police car along with the fire brigade and ambulance
service will be present for help.
After launching the system, chief minister Nitish Kumar took
stock of the entire system. He also took detailed information about dial 112
from the police administration. He also gave many instructions to the officers.
At present, only the cities with district headquarters will
get the benefit of the service of dial 112. Special Bolero vehicles have been put
into service for Dial 112, which is equipped with state-of-the-art features
including GPS.
