JD(U) Legislators Donate One Month’s Salary to Bihar Chief Minister’s Relief Fund

 

Patna: Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) legislators have donated their one month’s salary to the Bihar Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support families affected by floods in the state on September 21, 2026.

Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar and Planning and Development Minister Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, along with other JD(U) legislators, handed over a cheque equivalent to one month’s salary to Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.

A delegation comprising Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, JD(U) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha, MLC Sanjay Kumar Singh alias Gandhi Ji, MLA Shyam Rajak, MLC Reena Yadav, MLC Neeraj Kumar, MLA Lalit Narayan Mandal, MLA Pappu Kumar Verma, MLC Bharti Mehta, MLC Lalan Prasad, MLA Manjeet Singh, MLA Arun Manjhi and MLA Aditya Kumar met the Chief Minister and handed over a cheque for a total of Rs 17.06 lakh to the relief fund.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed his gratitude to the JD(U) legislators for their contribution. He said the amount would help people in need during disasters and other difficult circumstances in the state.
