Janata Dal (United) national president Sharad Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar jointly released election manifesto of their party in Patna on October 18, 2010 with a promise to carry forward development with justice in Bihar.
The manifesto also promised a slew of measures for minorities and upper caste people with thrust on further boosting the state's growth rate from 11.5 per cent 21 per cent.
The manifesto pledged a separate independent directorate under the minority welfare department for the schemes and programmes relating to welfare of minorities, besides maintaining pressure on the centre for implementation of the recommendations of the Sachar Committee and Rangnath Mishra Commission for their welfare.
