Free diabetes treatment for women in Bihar Government health centres

Bihar Government's Health Department and Novo-Nordisk Education Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the implementation of changing diabetes barometer in Patna on March 8, 2011. Bihar Health Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey was present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Choubey said Bihar government would start diabetes check up for expecting women in government health centres. "The health centres will provide free medical treatment to women afflicted with diabetes", he said.
