Disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees seized




The state Vigilance Bureau seized disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees in simultaneous raids on several people related to the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Patna on July 30, 2009.

Several Vigilance teams conducted the raids on the reisdential premises of Manoj Mankar, examination controller of ITI, head clerk Lakshman Prasad, instructor Satyendra Singh and Sanjay Yadav, supplier, at various locations in Patna, Bihta, Munger and Haveli Kharagpur following complaints from the public.

The bureau seized Rs 12 lakh in cash from the house of Manoj Mankar, Rs 11lakh from his bank locker, jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh, investment papers of Rs 8 lakh and other saving schemes worth Rs 10 lakh and an Alto car.

Vigilence department seized Rs 1.01 lakh in cash and fixed deposit papers of Rs 21.80 lakh and documents revealing that a single supplier runs four firms under different names from the house of Sanjay Yadav.
