Different Bihar government and semi-government departments took out thematic and colourful tableaux on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations at historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna on August 15, 2009.The tableau by Women Development Corporation based on the theme women empowerment was adjudged the best.Youth Affairs and Culture Department’s tableau, based on Shukra Guljar, Shani Bahar and Sanskriti Bodh (Understanding the culture) series got the second position.
