Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation (BSBCC) donated Rs 20 crore to CM's drought relief fund in Patna on August 24, 2009 .
After receiving the cheque from BSBCC Chairman Atish Chandra, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar called upon people to come forward in helping the state tide over the crisis of drought. Pratyaya Amrit, a senior IAS officer and Secretary, Road Construction Department, also contributed half of his prize-money of Rs 51,000 to the CM's relief fund.
Amrit had received the cash award for his yeoman serviceduring last year's Kosi deluge as the Secretary, Disaster Management.
