Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad played a cool-cool Holi this year. This was for the second consecutive year Lalu opted to keep it a low key affair.
This year, he had decided not to play Holi to express solidarity with the grief-stricken family of Bihar’s Food Minister Narendra Singh, who lost his son Abhay Singh, a JD (U) MLA from Jamui in a bizarre incident.
But the high profile leader could not escape the love and affection of the festival of colours as his supporters from kids to elderly women marked at least a "Tilak" on Lalu’s forehead to celebrate Hoil. In response, Lalu too applied a bit of abir and gulal on the faces of his fans in Patna on March 1, 2010.
