Hunger strike enters 5th day
As the hunger strike by the students of Chandragupta Institute of Management, Patna, entered the fifth day, the venue of the agitation was abuzzed with political activities. Several political leaders, drawn mostly from opposition parties of Bihar, visited the venue and asked about the health conditions of the striking students and extended their full support to their demands.
Rashtirya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders Ram Kripal Yadav and Shakeel Ahmed Khan extended their full support to striking students and flayed the Bihar government's technical education policy.
Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Anil Kumar Sharma said his party would launch massive agitation if the demands of the students were not met.
Meanwhile, Human Resource Development Minister Harinarayan Singh informed the Bihar Legislative Council that government had accepted two demands of the students and talks were on the with the institute director for other demands.
