Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) general secretary and former Union HRD Minister M A Fatmi said that minority community had a share of mere 8 per cent in government jobs in Bihar in spite of being one-sixth of the total population.
Fatmi was addressing a press conference in Patna on July 14, 2010.
He said Muslims had high unemployment rate in Bihar and their socio-economic situation had been worse under the NDA rule.
Fatmi claimed that the Nitish Kumar-led government did not move forward to recruit Urdu teachers in government schools, rolled back for pro-Muslim measures taken by RJD government and failed to provide land to set up Aligarh Muslim University(AMU) campus in Kishanganj.
