Local vendors and encroachers today engaged in clash with policemen who had gone to remove the encroachment on busy Bailey Road near new secretariat in Patna on July 19, 2010. Police said a magistrate on duty and a policeman received minor injuries when the vendors attacked the team of policemen and officials with stones. As the baton charge failed to quell the agitators, the police lobbed four tear gas shells to disperse the encroachers who had blocked Bailey Road for several hours.
