8th phase of Panchayat polls witness 59 per cent turn out in Bihar

The eighth phase of the Panchayat polls in Bihar witnessed an estimated 59 per cent voters' turn out on May 12, 2011. Two persons were reportedly killed and 1053 persons were arrested as preventive actions in the violence-marred polls.
