105 candidates file nominations for PMC elections

Patna: As many as 272 candidates filed their nominations for Patna Nagar Nigam, Nagar Prishad and Nagar Panchayat elections on Wednesday in the district. Among them 155 were women and rest 117 were men.

In Patna Municipal Corporation, 105 candidates filed their nominations from different wards on Wednesday and among them 61 were women.

The nominations will continue till May 9.

In Patna district there are 9 urban bodies. They are Patna Nagar Nigam, Nagar Parishad Phulwari, Nagar Parishad Danapur, Nagar Parishad Khagaul, Nagar Parishad Barh, Nagar Parishad Mokama, Nagar Parishad Mashaurih, Nagar Parishad Bakhtiyarpur and Nagar Panchayat Maner.
