No marks will be deducted on wrong questions asked in Simultala School admission test , says BSEB


Patna: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has decided not to deduct the marks of the students attempting wrong questions asked in the papers of Simultala Residential School admission test held recently.

The BSEB which uploaded the question papers and answer key of the test in its website recently and sought stakeholders response regarding objections with proof, has found that three questions out of 150 in class 6 question paper, 2 questions out of 150 in class 7 paper and one question out of 150 in class 9 paper were wrong.

BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said here on Friday that no marks would be deducted for attempting wrong questions.

He directed the officials of the BSEB to take disciplinary action against the paper setters and also asked to blacklist them.

He said the BSEB had formed a team of experts which would submit its report within two days and then the a fresh answer key would be uploaded on the Board's website.

In another major decision, the BSEB has suspended two officers namely Kundan Kumar Sinha and Anand Kumar of its central section for gross negligence as the Board has detected that the concerned officers had uploaded wrong answers in all four sets of papers in Board's web portal.

The BSEB has also served show cause notice to its deputy secretary Praveen Kumar in this regard and his payment of salary has been stopped.
