Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi inaugurated the annual conference of the Bihar Financial Service Association in Patna on November 8, 2009.Speaking on the occasion, Sushil K Modi said Bihar government would establish a tax research institute to conduct research on tax structure; tax collection methodology and suggest improvement in the system.

Business entities, registered under Comapanies Act 1956 and having their place of business in more than one state, either by themselves or through their distributor, agent, C & F, consignee agent, dealing in beverages, all types of cooked food, foodgrains and cereals, milk products, fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides and seeds, autoparts, tyres and tubes, battery, motor vehicle including two wheelers and three wheelers, tractors, computers, IT products, wireless and telecommunication equipments & devices, country liquor, foreign liquor, IMFL, consumer durables are given the facility of consolidated registration in Pataliputra Circle at Patna, for their business activities in Bihar at one or more places.
