Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched Ground Water Irrigation Scheme to prop up agriculture production of the state in Patna on November 20, 2009.
Under the scheme, Bihar government provides subsidized private tubewells, diesel and electric pumps to farmers. The scheme will create irrigation potential in additional nine lakh hectares of land through the use of 4.64 lakh pumps.
Bihar Minor Irrigation Minister, Dinesh Prasad, Development Commissioner (Government of Bihar), Navin Kumar and NABARD general manager Sandip Ghosh also addressed the function.

Nitish kumar is very good person and bihar is very growthful state in india this time.
