Girls’ education and women empowerment could check the population growth. Climate change has also affected the population control programme. These views were expressed by the speakers at the UNFPA’s state of the world population 2009 report release function in Patna on November 20, 2009.UNFPA’s Marc Derveeuw and Principal Health Secretary (Government of Bihar), CK Mishra were among the prominent speakers.
