Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi inaugurated Kisan Mela (Farmers Fair) in Patna on May 24, 2010. Bihar Agriculture Minister Renu Kumari was also present on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, Modi said Bihar government had decided to charge 4 per cent interest instead of 7 per cent from farmers on agriculture loans. The scheme had come into effect from April 1, 2010.
