Janata Dal (U) national spokesman and MP Shivanand Tiwari said his party has launched a signature campaign in Bihar demanding special category status for the state as it faces natural calamities every year,Talking to the media in Patna on May 14, 2010, Tiwari said by July end a memorandum addressed to President Pratibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other concerned persons would be submitted with signatures of over 1.21 crore people asking for the specialcategory status to Bihar.
